How to get to Pamukkale
Most routes to Pamukkale run through Denizli, the city about 18 km south of Hierapolis. Denizli has a bus station and a train station, and Çardak airport (DNZ) serves the region. From there, a local minibus, a shuttle or a car takes you to the terraces.
Coming from the coast, you can skip the planning and join a day trip instead. Departure times, prices and what is included are on our pages for Pamukkale tours from Antalya and tours from Istanbul. A bus ride to Denizli is not the same as arriving at the terrace entrance, so allow time for the last leg.

| Denizli airport to Pamukkale by shuttle | About 1 hour | Municipal service and private shuttles; see below |
For most visitors, the best split is a flight from Istanbul and a shuttle from the airport, or a bus from Antalya or İzmir plus a dolmuş. The Istanbul night bus saves a hotel night but is a long ride.
